June Florence Scholtens, 93, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was born on September 29, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, to Clarence Earl Merrill and Florence Quandt Merrill.
In 2005, after residing in the Chicago area for eighty-two years, she moved to Brookdale at Pleasant Hills in Little Rock. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-seven years, Albert Scholtens; brother, Eugene Merrill.
Survivors are sons, Martin Albert (Raylene) Scholtens of Jackson WY, John Dennis (Carol) Scholtens of Little Rock, AR, and Earl Clarence (Pamela) Scholtens of The Villages FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kristen (Stephen) Carter and Todd (Diana) Scholtens of Jackson WY, Wendy (Paul) Wood, Little Rock, Jay (Mary-Margaret) Scholtens, Jonesboro AR, Bradley (Kristin) Scholtens, Grayslake, IL, Kurtis (Whitney) Scholtens, Hudsonville, MI and Andrew (Allison) Scholtens, Marietta GA; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Burial service will be at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, IL.
