Raymond was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea during WWII. He was employed by General Electric and Kaiser Chemical Company, retiring from Kaiser after 25 years of service. He was a long-time member and Deacon of the Ross Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia "Ginny" Bray; by two daughters Nancy (and Sam) Schradin of Ross, and Diane Garland of Fairfield; one son Jeff (and Mary Lou) Bray of Ross; three grandsons, Aaron (and Erin) Schradin, Kris (and Linda) Garland, Jeffrey (and Shannon) Bray; four granddaughters, Brandi (and Nick) Emenaker, Chessie Garland (and Eric Witt), Natalie (and Steve) Engel and Lindsay Bray; three great granddaughters Lauryn and Taylor Emenaker, Audrey Bray; and three great grandsons Nathan Bray, Andrew Garland, and Karter Schradin.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Sams officiating. Burial will follow at Venice Cemetery in Ross.
