LOGAN - Mrs. Melissa Hobbs Smith, 65, wife of Absalom Smith, died at the family residence, 11 East Fourth North street, Thursday after a month's illness.
She was born at Franklin, Idaho, April 9, 1871, the daughter of Charles W. and Mary Ann Emms Hobbs. She had resided in Logan since 1923.
Surviving are her husband, two sons and two daughters, LeGrand C. Smith, Sugar City, Idaho; Mrs. H. H. Felsted, Ogden; Kenneth and Gwen Smith, Logan; 10 grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Edith Hadlock, Vernal;; J. C. Hobbs, Los Angeles, Cal.' Mrs. S. J. Handy, Franklin, Idaho; Mrs. D. S. Kennedy, Richmond.
Funeral services are being arranged with the Lindquist & Sons mortuary.
