June 12, 1936: Miss Ella Barker, age 76, passed at the residence of her niece, Mrs. T. C. Hollman at Barker's Springs Tuesday morning, June 9th. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from Friendship Church with Rev. Hancy Hicks of Roberta officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the churchyard cemetery. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Henry Hoyle (Easie), one brother, Monroe Barker, both of Thomaston and a number of nieces and nephews. The Thomaston Times, page 8, col. 2
