Bennie C. Cogburn, 86, resident of Burkburnett, Texas since 1956, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 in the Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 at the Owens & Brumley Chapel in Burkburnett with Dennis Ott of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley.
Mr. Cogburn was born Jan. 20, 1920 in Crumb Creek, Okla. He married Jodene Dooley on Dec. 3, 1941. Bennie and Jodene celebrated 65 years of marriage on Dec. 3, 2006.
He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and worked in the Civil Service at SAFB, retiring in 1975. Mr. Cogburn was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include wife, Jodene Cogburn of Burkburnett; two sons, Larry Cogburn and wife, Pat of Burkburnett and Randy Cogburn of Vinita, Okla.; and grandson, Kevin Cogburn of Lawton, Okla.
