Helen L. Folks was was born a daughter of Jack and Kate Thrasher Terven. She married Cecil Folks Sr. on June 1, 1944, in Bloomington, Illinois. He died May 10, 1997.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Folks, four sons, Cecil Folks Jr., Ray Folks Sr., Carl Folks and Roger Folks, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two sisters, Darlene Compton and Betty Backlund,
She was preceded in death by her parents two daughters-in-law, Joann and Georgia, two brothers, John and Charles and one grandchild.
She was a member of the Salvation Army and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Bloomington.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the Federal Cafe ( Shannons) to be with her friends and playing bingo.
