She was born June 23, l904, in Collinsville, the daughter of Emil and Celia Acardi Wall.
She married LaVern Bitzer in 1932; he died in 1983.
Mrs. Bitzer was employed by the state Department of Revenue for 17 years before retiring.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the women's organizations.
Survivors: two nieces, Catherine Kniss and Noraldean Palecek, both of Springfield; a great-niece; a great-nephew; a great-great-niece; and two great-great-nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Bisch and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. H. Warren Wilkewitz officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
