Graduated from Stillman Valley H.S. in 1955. He married Janet I. Geiger on May 25, 1957 in Lindenwood. Employed as a mail carrier for 43 years for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Million Mile Club. Active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he served as a former trustee and head usher. Also member of Redeemer Men's Club, Redeemer Decorating Committee and usher captain. Served as president of Rolling Green PTA in 1972, chairman of Fun Fairs from 1970 to 1972 and coach and organizer for Tri-Con baseball. Ken enjoyed genealogy, gardening, traveling and spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan.
Survived by wife, Janet; daughter Tracy (Robert) Borgen; grandchildren Ashley & Jaclyn; brother Phillip (Carol) Houston; sisters, Barbara Lawrence and Bonnie Smith; sister-in-law Mylene Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, son Todd and brother Allen.
