Eleanor C. (Haddad) Senay, 94, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her home in Onset. She was the wife of the late Adelard Senay.
Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Karam and Ida (Corey) Haddad and moved to Onset when she was 10 years old. Eleanor worked as clerk at the Onset Post Office eventually becoming postmaster. She retired in 1985 after 25 years of service.
Eleanor also volunteered as a poll worker for the Town of Wareham and a tabulator for town meeting. Eleanor’s greatest joy in life was her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Maxim and her husband Scott of Onset; her sisters, Claire Gordon of Wareham and Mildred Zimmerman of Alpharetta, GA; 14 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Karam Haddad, Jr., John Haddad, Robert Haddad and Phyllis Haddad.
A graveside service will be held at the Agawam Cemetery, Stillman Memorial Dr. Relatives and friends are also invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham MA
