Ruby "Marie" Amos, 99, of Billings, MO (formerly of Monett) went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Tuesday September 20, 2016 while staying at the Republic Nursing and Rehab Center in Republic, MO. She was born on May 4, 1917 in Granby, MO; the daughter of the late Bert and Ethel "Bea" (Simpson) Lansdown. She was united in marriage on October 18, 1931 to Oscar Amos; he preceded her in death on March 30, 1958.

She was the former owner of the M&L Café in Monett, and was a member of the Billings Baptist Church.

Marie is survived by one son: Charles Amos of Aurora; three daughters: Lola Hamilton of Visalia, California, Judi Walker and Ruth Haskins both of Billings; one brother Paul Lansdown of Monett; fourteen grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both her parents: Bert and Bea; husband: Oscar; one son: Don Amos in 1982; two daughters: Enid Owens and Sherry Lynn Amos; two brothers: Jim and Burl Lansdown; and three sisters: Doris Thomas, Bonnie Norvell, and Paulina Mattingly.

Visitation for Marie is being held on Saturday September 24, 2016 from 12:00p-2p at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 2p at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett. After services Marie will be laid to rest next to her husband Oscar at the Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, MO.

Memorial donations for Marie may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
