Kenneth was born October 20, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Shepard Rudolph and Willa Dean Byrd. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Willa Mae Byrd Sorrell. Mr. Byrd was a brick mason for many years. He was also an avid deer hunter and a member of Potecasi Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Surviving are Daughter and Son-In-Law, Shannon and Kevin Stephenson of Southport, NC; Son and Daughter-In-Law, Kenneth, Jr. and Bari Byrd of Durham; Grandchildren, Ralph Stephenson and Bella Stephenson; Sister& Brother-in-law, Pat B.& Larry Barbour of Clayton; Nieces and Nephews.
