BOWLUS, Polly Sue (Meador) passed, on Sept. 16, 2016, from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior whom she loved, trusted, and followed. After courageously fighting a 25 year battle with Parkinson's Disease, she is no longer enslaved in her earthly frail body but enjoying a perfect one! Polly was born in Hebron, MS and lived most of her life in Tampa. Polly loved hard, laughed loud, and prayed constantly. Polly served the Lord in all she did through singing, teaching Sunday School, and in her careers of the many years as F & I Manager with the Ferman family dealerships and later in real estate. Polly is survived by her two sons, Greg (Shelly) and Grant (Mary) Bowlus; and her nine loving grandchildren, Felicia, Micah, Christian, Meredith, Madisyn, Clayton, and Corey Mauller, and Jasmine and Kylie Acevedo. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am with her Celebration of Life service beginning 11 am, Friday, Sept. 23 at the Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N. Rome Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 3125 W. Socrum Loop Road, in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made on behalf of the Parkinson's Foundation and the N.E. Florida Community Hospice.
