Alice Barker Graham Server was born February 1867, the eldest daughter of Rev. James T. Barker and Louise Gibson Jordan of Flintville, TN. She was first married to James Robert Graham on March 5, 1884 in Flintville, Lincoln Co., TN.

Alice and James Graham had four children together; the first daughter born in Flintville, TN died in infancy, name unknown. Her second daughter, Susie Mae Graham was born in Flintville, TN several years later. On November 11, 1890 James, Alice and Susie Mae Graham left TN by train, to make a new future together in Texas, along with the T.B. George family, and the James Copeland family of Flintville, TN.

They settled first in Milam Co., TX, where two more children were born; son, Robert Graham, born May 9, 1891, and daughter Sallie Graham, b. Feb. 1894, in Davilla, TX.

After several years they moved to Waxahachie, Ellis Co., TX. On June 6, 1894, her husband, James R. Graham, died in Waxahachie of influenza. The family has copies of letters during the trying weeks prior to James' death, that Alice wrote to her brothers in TN, asking them to come to TX to help her, as James was dying, and she had a new baby plus two other young children.

Four years later, Alice married James Harrison Server, a widower 26 years her senior, in Milam Co., TX on July 20, 1898. Her new household included two of James Server's ten children by his first wife; step-son Carol Server b. Feb. 1873, and step-daughter, Mattie Server, b. June 1884.

Alice and James Server had one son together, Eugene Farrol Server, born July 21, 1908. He was killed in World War II, Jan. 10, 1945, and is buried in an American military cemetery in the Philippines.

On August 9, 1926, after several days illness, Alice Barker Graham Server died in Davilla, TX at the age of 59. She, her son Robert Graham, and daughter Sallie Graham are all buried in the Davilla Cemetery.
