MARGARET E. HAUGHT, 83, NORTHUMBERLAND
NORTHUMBERLAND - Margaret E. Haught, 83, of 221 Park Ave., died at 3 a.m. Sunday Community Hospital. She was born July 10, 1913, in Northumberland, a daughter of the late Norman Guy and Laura Grace (SPONENBURG) ROBERTS. Her husband, Everitt W. HAUGHT, died July 8, 1982, after 50 years of marriage. Mrs. HAUGHT was a 1931 graduate of Northumberland High School. A homemaker, she was formerly employed as a seamstress by the Danville Manufacturing Co., where she retired after many years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland. Mrs. HAUGHT enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Surviving are four daughters, Betty ANDERSON of Houston, Texas, Twilia ARTHAUD of San Antonio, Texas, Shirley SIMMONS of Wallingford, Conn. and Jacqueline HAUGHT of Kingston, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, John F. ROBERTS of Watertown, Wisc.
She was preceded in death by one son, Everitt Jr.; two brothers, George and Harry ROBERTS; and one sister, Emma Jane ROBERTS.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland, by the Rev. Mathew M. VERGHESE. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland. Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, Second and King streets, Northumberland.
