David Gerald Samson, 69, of Danville, Illinois, went to his reward on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011.
Born Dec. 7, 1941, near Homer, David attended Danville High School and went to work at General Motors. He retired from there in 1990 after 30 years.
David loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Oren Samson and Eva Dell Beard; his brothers, Virgil and Norman Samson and sister, Lila Bonebrake.
He is survived by a son, Mark ( Helen) Samson; two stepdaughters, Candy Smoot Kloet and Lisa Percy; a brother, Rolla Samson; a sister, Lavina Ramey; one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
