Amos Wanner, Of Akron, Dies
Amos S. Wanner, seventy, 402 S. 9th St., Akron, died Tuesday at his home. He had been under the care of a physician.
Born in Manheim Twp., he was a son of the late Jacob and Leah Snader Wanner, and was a resident of Akron for 50 years. At one time he operated a small farm and later was employed at the Miller Hess Shoe Co., Akron, retiring in August, 1964.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Akron. His wife, the former Sarah Heiser, died in February, 1960.
SURVVIVORS
Surviving are three sons: Samuel H. Wanner, Ephrata; Walter H. and James H. Wanner, both of Akron; seven grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Aaron Wanner, Lititz RD; Mrs. Elsie Wenger, Brownstown; Annie, wife of Lester Gockley, Ephrata R2; Jacob Wanner, Denver RD; Ada, wife of Clarence Heffner, Lancaster; Mrs. Bertha Walters, Harrisburg; Samuel Wanner, Denver R1; Milton Wanner, Reinholds; Harry Wanner, Ephrata R2; and Noah Wanner, Harrisburg.
