Eldest son of Jack Blevans from Joseph, Oregon and Joy Rood Blevans from Portland, Oregon, Al was born in Los Angeles, raised in San Gabriel and lived in Anaheim. After graduation from Cal State he worked for Orange County as a Health Inspector. He married Carol in 1969 and a year later they purchased the home in which they lived together for the rest of his life. Retiring after 35 years with the county, he enjoyed travel, especially cruises, and home improvement projects. He like to read and build models. He was active in his church as a member of the Board of Trustees, Church Council and as a scripture reader. He is survived by his wife, Carol, his sister Katie-Joy Adrean, his brother Stephen Blevans, and by nephews and nieces.
