Born Sept. 1876 in SC, according to 1900 census household of his parents Chas. M. and Rosana O. Simpson in MIlitia District 773 (Upper Town District) of Columbus, Muscogee County, GA
Burial record from sexton says he was a male, born in Georgia (sic), run over by a car at age 28 and died at the city hospital. Buried April 15, 1905, as a resident of Columbus, in the northeast corner of the north half of Lot 25. The small headstone-looking monument with no identifying markings, next to the urn in the photo, is in the southwest corner of the lot.
Daniel Olds made an index of deaths August 1890 thru December 1918 from Muscogee County municipal records. It says Cylde Simpson, a White male, died age [under] 30 on April 14, 1905
