Name is evidently Addison Allen EVERIDGE (appears as Allen A. EVERIDGE on 1900 census; family reports name as Addison Alan - see below). Married 01 JAN 1865 in Harris County, Georgia, to Missouri O. HARRIS.

"DEATH OF MR. A. A. EVERIDGE: Was the Father of Mr. J. B. EVERIDGE, the Well Known Twelfth Street Baker--Funeral and Interment This Morning. // Mr. A. A. EVERIDGE, aged 67 years, died at his home, 1486 First avenue, at 6:25 o'clock Saturday morning after an illness of two months from typhoid fever and stomach trouble. // Mr. EVERIDGE was a Confederate Veteran of the old school, having served as a member of Co. B, thirty-seventh Georgia regiment, Capt. T[homas] E[liel] BLANCHARD being the leader of the company, and had seen service in both the Virginia and Western armies. He served with credit and distinction, both to himself and the company to which he was attached. // The deceased was of Methodist faith, and was highly esteemed member of Camp Benning, U[nited] C[onfederate] V[eterans], which organization will attend his funeral in a body this morning. // Mr. EVERIDGE leaves, besides his wife, two sons, Messrs. J. B. EVERIDGE, of Girard, and Jesse EVERIDGE, whose residence is now unknown, and one brother, Mr. J. J. EVERIDGE, of Columbus. // The funeral will take place from the late home of the deceased this morning at 10 o'clock, the services to be conducted by Rev. H. C. EWING, assisted by Rev. W. N. POND, and the interment will be in Riverdale cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to act as pallbearers: Dr. W[illiam] T[hompson] POOL, Messrs. E. S. McEACHERN, V. J. COX, J. J. EVERDIGE, C.S.A., died aged 64 years at residence, 1416 First Avenue, Columbus, Ga., of typhoid fever; buried Feb. 18, 1911 in Section 7, Lot 66, subdivided. Sexton Deborah DOUGLAS (remarks: replaced lost card based on ledger. Relative W. EVERDIGE says he's Addison Alan EVERIDGE - 2/5/99).

Roster of the Confederate Soldiers of Georgia, by Lillian Henderson, Volume IV, p. 15, shows in Company F (Jackson Avengers, Muscogee County), 3rd Battalion, Georgia Infantry: EVERIDGE, A. A., Jr.--Private 12 JUL 1861. Transferred 06 MAY 1863 to Company B, 37th Regiment, Georgia Infantry. Roll dated 01 APR 1864 last on file, shows him present. No later record.
