Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Mike was born July 23, 1949 in Start, LA and passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Mike was a member of the Start Baptist Church and the Start Volunteer Firefighters.
Mr. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Lela Garland; brother, William P. Garland and numerous half brothers and half sisters.
Survivors include his son, Michael Garland and wife, Misty of Start; grandson, Trey Garland of Start; one half sister; and one sister-in-law.
