F. B. ACKERMANN LAST RITES ARE SET

Funeral services will be held Thursday for Frank B. Ackermann, deputy sheriff shot in a gunfight with Ray Pryor, former Conna cafe owner, last Sautrday afternoon.
Ackermann succumbed from abdominal wounds Tuesday morning at Santa Rosa Hospital.
Meanwhile, a strong guard had been placed about Pryor, charged with murder, at Robert B. Green hospital. Officers guarded the front door, elevator and door to Pryor's room, following new reports that an attempt would be made on his life by friends of the slain deputy. Officers said Pryor would be removed to the county jail as quickly as possible.
Services for Ackermann will be held at Riebe chapel at 3 p.m. with the Rev. William Durkop officiating. Pallbearers will include Tom Reed, Dennis Brice, Dr. S.S. Morgan, Dr. J. L. Lockhart, Henry Stahl and Albert Theis. Reed is a deputy sheriff, and Brice is the special deputy who went with Ackermann to the I-G-N hotel where the shooting took place.
A guard of fellow officers will be at the funeral. Two deputies have remained constantly with the body since it was taken to the funeral parlors Tuesday.
