Vern C. Tennant, 64 Lakeside, died in Kalispell Sunday evening.
Mr. Tennant was born May 20, 1905, at Burgessville, Ontario. He had received his education and spent his early years in Canada. In 1923, he moved to the Flathead Valley where he was employed by the CCC Camp and worked at the Rauthe Lumber camp. He later operated his own mills at the Flathead mines and at Lolo. He had resided at Lakeside for the past eight years. He was a Catholic and was a past member of the Elks and Eagles lodges of Kalispell.
May 9, 1934, he was married to Mary Wilson at Littleton, Colorado, and is now survived by her at the family home. He is also survived by three sons, Bern of Missoula, William R. of Morgan, Utah, and George, serving in the US Navy at Memphis, Tennessee; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Louise) Herbold of Kalispell and Mrs. Richard (Mary Ellen) Drake of Hayward, California; one brother, Tom, of White Bird, Idaho, and 17 grandchildren.
