Was an Episcopalian in England, leading singer and musician; ranked high in Masonic Order. Tailor by trade. Married Elizabeth Thomas also of Bristol England. Moved to the United States during the War of 1812. Were unable to land. Went to Nova Scotia and returned to the U. States immediately after the war. Six children were born to them: William the eldest born in England, died a bachelor, buried in Lancaster cemetery: John, born in England, died a bachelor, buried in Lancaster. Elizabeth born in England, married in Lancaster to Henry Auxer had three children.
Mary born in England, married John Yost of Baltimore, had four children.
Charlotte born in Nova Scotia, married Michael Bundel of Lancaster had two children moved to Pittsburgh, Pa.
