"Mrs. Helen Donigan Hilliard, 43 years old, Mayflower Apartments, wife of Isaac Hilliard, broker, died at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Infirmary, following an operation Wednesday.
Mrs. Hilliard became unexpectedly (sic) ill after attending the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra concert Monday night, and was taken to the infirmary the following morning and was operated on by Dr. Irvin Abell.
She was a daughter of the late Richard Donigan and Mrs. Helen Cochrane Donigan. She was a prominent member of Louisville society and musical circles, a member of the Junior League, and of the Wednesday Morning Music Club.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Helen Cochrane Hilliard, and two sons, Richard Hilliard and James Henning Hilliard.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Calvary Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery."
