Pauline Ellen Alewine passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at her home in Brady, at the age of 75. She was born Aug. 2, 1935, in San Diego, Calif. to Luther Eugene and Nora Mae (Boles) Potts. She married Cecil Alewine June 24, 1951 in Terminal. She moved to McCulloch County in 1994 from Dripping Springs and she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Brady. Pauline enjoyed singing, reading, reunions and playing with the grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Don Alewine of Oklahoma, Elise Chappell of Corpus Christi, Delores Simpson and husband, Calvin, of Florence, Nat Alewine and wife, Bonnie, of Waco, Clara of Smyrna, Tennessee, Genean Alewine of Gilmer, Judy Thomas also of Gilmer, Rosanna Dozier of Brady, Charlie Alewine and wife, Alta, of Sonora, Darline Roberts and husband, Marlin, of Gilmer, and Doug Alewine and wife, Rachel, of Houma, La.;46 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; a brother, Olen Potts of Winters and a sister, Ruby Goodson of Lone Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Nora Mae Potts; her husband, Cecil Alewine; son, Cecil Alewine, Jr.; daughter, Christine Alewine; eight sisters and three brothers. Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Rest Haven Cemetery. Condolences can be made online at www.heritagefuneraltx.com
