She was born to Wesley H. and Ellie Day in Indianola, Oklahoma.
She and James Ivan were married for 58 years when he passed away. They spent the majority of their years together farming and ranching near McAlester, Oklahoma.
Gladys and James moved to Fresno in 1990 to be closer to their only child, James J.
After Big Jim passed away, she moved to Claremont Senior Apartments where she had many friends. She enjoyed sewing for them as well as crocheting numerous caps for babies and child cancer patients.
Gladys leaves one son, James J. Adams and his wife Sandy of Fresno; three grandsons and their spouses, Jim and Tricia Adams of Hanford, Edward and Lynn Rusko of Reedley and David and Ezy Rusko of San Jose; granddaughter, Eileen Adams of Michigan; six great-grandchildren, one sister, Francis Taylor of Bakersfield; sister-in-law, Hertha Adams of Eufaula, Oklahoma; brother-in-law and his wife, Bill and Estella Adams of Harrah, Oklahoma; and a host of nephews and nieces from Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and California.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Thursday, December 14, 2006, at 2:00 p.m.
Remembrances may be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice or donor's favorite charity.
