The Family received Friends and Family at Parhams Baptist Church from 5:pm until 9:pm Friday Sept. 4. Members of the Fire Department sat Vigil until service time.
Burial was at Adams United Methodist Church in Auburn, MS under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA.
Keith was born July 17,1958 in Liberty, MS, the Son of L.E."Bo" Brooks (1938-1990) and Reece Lazarus Junkin. He was employed as an oil field driller and Volunteer Fire Fighter/First Responder.
Keith attended Chamberlain Hunt Military Academy in Port Gibson, MS.
He was preceded in death by his Father; one Son, Eric Dwayne Brooks; His Brother, Lionel Brooks(July 11,1959 - Feb. 1,2006); and Grandparents, James and Glayds Brooks.
Survivors include His Mother of Parhams, LA; one Daughter, Samantha Nicole Wyant and Husband, Greg; one Grandson, Ayden Cole Wyant, Uncle Dwayne Carlock; and a number of Family and Friends.
Pallbearers were Justin Spinks, Joshua Collins, Tonye Daniel, Tracie Brown, Justin Granger, Owen Calkins, Keith Bennette and at Grave site Aaran Brooks and Jarred Brooks.
Honorary Pallbearers were all local Firefighters.
The American Flag bearing all the Names of Firefighters and First Responders of the 9/11 Disaster flew above The Church during His Funeral Service. He received a Fireman and Police escort the entire 100+ mile drive to His Final Resting Place.
Cause of death was a Heart Attack just like His Father and Brother.
