Joseph was known by many in his youth as "Pitou". He was the son of Sylvester and Bella L. (Parent) Morin. He married Lucy A Stark in Bangor, ME on Dec 30, 1958.
He was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Sanford, ME class of 1953. He attended St. Francis College in Biddeford, ME. Graduated from Alexian Brothers Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, IL class of 1961, and St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Anesthesia in Worcester, MA class of 1963.
Joe served in the US Air Force in Thule, Greenland and Dow Air Force Base, Bangor, Maine during the Korean Conflict. He served as 1st Lt during the Vietnam War and served as Major in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm, retiring as LTC.
Joe worked as a CRNA at the Rumford Hospital, retiring after more than 29 years. He then worked part time at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Joe is survived by his wife Lucy; two daughters, Janice Clohosey and husband Edward, and Diane Roberts and husband Gregory; two sons, Michael Morin and wife Lorie, and Robert Morin and wife Renee; 13 grandchildren, Jason Clohosey and wife Elizabeth, Matthew Clohosey and fiancee Jessica Silva, Ryan Clohosey, SPC Daniel Dore, Kayla McGee and husband Thomas, Thomas Carr and wife Jennifer, Michael Morin, Jr., twins Katie and Nicole Morin, Dale Morin, Gregory Morin, Lily Morin, and Alison Morin, and one great-granddaughter Lucy McGee.
