Funeral services for Ann M. Ahern (nee Conway), 93, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Friday, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. A Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Mrs. Ahern died Thursday, April 8, 2004, peacefully at home. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart Women's Club since 1950. She was a 1929 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Chicago, and was originally from the St. Rita's Parish area of Chicago. She was an avid White Sox fan, and enjoyed bowling and bridge. She is survived by her son, Thomas J. (Patricia) of Arlington Heights; her daughter, JoAnn Ahern of Lombard; her grandchildren, Sheila Ahern of Wisconsin, Maureen Ahern of Wisconsin and Dan Ahern of Arlington Heights; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was lovingly cared for by her family and by Enriqueta Uloth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M.; her parents, Eugene and Anna (nee Regan); her brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene (Eleanor) Conway and Edward (Barbara) Conway; and by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen (Melvern) Casey and Rosemary (Dr. Howard) McCollom. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity, or to Elmhurst Memorial Hospice, 855 N.
