Ole immigrated to America in 1892 and worked as a farm hand for Knut N. Troe in Silver Lake Township.
Wedding bells rang at Silver Lake Lutheran Church when Ole married Ida Johnson who was a first generation American of Norwegian immigrant parents on the 22nd of March 1898.
Six children; three sons and three daughters, were born to this union: Almer, Elvina, Alice, Joseph, Oscar, & Olga. Almer died when just a toddler at age 4 in 1906.
Ole passed away in Freeborn County, Minnesota on July 20, 1917 at the age of 45. His youngest child, daughter Olga, was only 3 weeks old.
Funeral services were held July 23, 1917 at Silver Lake Lutheran Church with burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
At the time of his death he was survived by his wife of 19 years and five young children to mourn their loss.
