Billy Dale Martin, 84, of Kankakee passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at River North of Bradley, following a lengthy illness. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A memorial service will follow immediately with Rev. Marsha Collins officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date at Crest Haven Cemetery at Claremont, IL. Mr. Martin was born in Richland County on September 15, 1931, the son of Harry Sr. and Ella Bradley Martin. His parents are deceased. Mr. Martin was retired from Midwest Operating Engineers and Oscar Legris Manufacturing. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Ronda; one son, Dale Logan; three step-children, Kenneth (Dawn) Gross of Jacksonville, FL, Lori Riley of Kankakee and Dale Gross of Bradley; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by six brothers, Harry Jr., Robert, Dick, Don, John and Frank Martin.
