Mr. Brogunier, Jefferson St., was employed by the Central Garage as a mechanic. He went to the Cushwa coal yards on Salem Avenue this morning on a call to attend to some engine trouble in one of the coal trucks. He picked up and connected an extension wire and had lamp in his hand. This was close to 11 o'clock. He held the service light, attached to a 110 volt circuit, and it is believed his other hand got a ground by touching the engine on which he was working. The light circuit probably had contact with another high tension line. Death came instantly to the ill-fated man.
A quick examination showed that there was no pulse or any indication of life but Dr. Kneisley was summoned. Justice Bitner, acting coroner, after learning the facts decided that an inquest was unnecessary, everything indicating conclusively that it was an accident.
The victim is a well known young man, 21 years old. He has been with the Central Garage for the past five years. He was much liked, was active and capable and his death is much regretted.
Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Bragunier, Jefferson St., extended, with whom he lived, and the following brothers and sisters: Russell, Gordon, Rena and Gladys.
