Springdale, Aug. 21 -- Theodore Finley Van Scyoc, 76 years old, father of Mrs. R.R. Caler of this place, died Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home north of town. Funeral services for Mr. Van Scyoc were conducted by Rev. Karl McClendon, pastor of the local Baptist Church, Tuesday afternoon at Friendship, east of Springdale. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery. Music for the service was furnished by the choir of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Van Scyoc was born April 22, 1858 in Washington County, Pa., and his parents were Joseph I. Van Scyoc and Phoebe Jane Breese Van Scyoc, both of Pennsylvania.
