Floyd "Dale" McBride, 52 year old, lifelong, Council Hill resident had the gift of life taken from him when he was tragically killed in Colorado. He was lost to all who loved him on June 23, 2016 but was found on September 6, 2016 and returned home on September 29, 2016.

He was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma on December 30, 1963 to Elwood and Betty (Neal) McBride.

Dale was a free spirit who loved anything exciting and fast like Fast Cars, Fast Horses, Fast Boats and Fast Motorcycles. He could have written the famous quote “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Miriam (Hiner) McBride of Idabel, and Isom and Lourine (Creekmore) Neal of Eufaula, his step-father Jerry Curran of Checotah and a brother Jeremy McBride.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters Mika and Melissa McBride of Ada, his parents Elwood and Marcella McBride of Idabel and Betty Curran of Checotah, his brothers, Eldon McBride and his wife Amanda of Idabel, Kenneth McBride and his wife Renee of Council Hill and Levi McBride of Idabel, his sisters, Shelley Lynch and her husband Lee of Checotah and Jennifer Moore of Idabel, as well as numerous family members that include his step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

On October 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. there will be a Memorial Service at the Church of Christ in Checotah with a graveside committal service at Greenlawn Cemetery, everyone is welcome.
