Freda Miller, age 92, of Huron Township, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor, Michigan.

Born on January 3, 1922 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was the daughter of Frank and Lillie (Koonce) English. She married Dick Miller on July 10, 1942 in Poplar Bluff, MO.

She was a mail carrier for US Postal Service for 30 years until retiring.

Freda taught school in a one room school house in her home town of Poplar Bluff, MO. The school was named after her family "the English School". She was an avid bowler and at 85 years old rolled a 200 game at Nortel Lanes in Monroe, MI. Freda was an avid reader and sports fan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was adored by her family.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dick, 2 sons, David and Kevin and a brother, Frank "Bud".

Surviving are 2 sons, Danny (Brenda) Miller of OH and Steve Miller of CA, 3 daughters, Carol (Junior) Jarrell of Dexter, MO, Janet (George) Hoffman of S. Rockwood and Denise (Kevin) Spicer of Trenton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held in Fisk, Missouri at White-Sanders Funeral Home on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 12:00 pm. Pastor Jerry Metcalf will officiate the service. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery following the service.
