He was born on Nov. 26, 1888, in Marcus, Wash., to Frank O'Brien and Rose Schurett. He later moved with his parents to a homestead near Republic, where he was raised to manhood. He came to Grand Coulee 11 years ago.
He was married to Cleo M. Lewis at Newport, Wash., in 1936.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo, at the home; a son, Frankl Blair O'Brien; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Downey of Santa Fe, NM., and Mrs. Jennie Franz of Phillipsburg, Mt.; and a brother, James O'Brien of Grand Coulee.
