Services for Roy W. Gray, 65, of Lompoc will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. 1996, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 212 East Central Ave., with Bishop Ty Dalton of the Second Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Cemetery.

Mr. Gray was born Aug. 10. 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and had lived in Lompoc since 1988, moving here from Santa Barbara where he had lived since 1956. Raised and educated In Salt Lake City, he graduated from South High School in 1947. He served In the U.S. Army from 1951-53 and was a retail merchandiser for 30 years, working for JC Penney Co. He served his church faithfully and was a professional Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He had appeared on both the "Gong Show" and "Let's Make a Deal" and was known In the community for his entertaining performances, many with his family.

Mr. Gray died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at his home.

Survivors Include his daughters, Diana Miller and Marsha Morgan, both of Lompoc, Gloria Nielson of St. George, Utah, Jeana Howlett of Anchorage, Alaska, and Clareesa Stehmeier of Santa Barbara; sisters, Maxine Ugsley, Betty DeWaal, and Darlene Edelin, all of Utah; brother, Delbert Tucker of Utah; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Gray, Sept. 2. 1995.

Friends may pay their respects from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, al Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
