Born April 23, 1904, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Monroe and America Shepherd Davis.
He was a farmer and the widower of Carrie Lee Barnett Davis.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean Williams of Columbia, Jewel Tedder of Tallula, Ill., and Lina Mae Smith of Russell Springs; three sons, Cleo Davis of Petersburg, Ill., Clifford Davis of Cincinnati and Charlie Davis of Liberty; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Murrell Davis.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Dwight Coffman and Jerry Smith. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
