OBITUARY: Barry Adage Newspaper, Barry, Pike, IL, July 28, 1915.
Good Citizen Passed Away. Death Claims C. P. Lippincott After Long Illness. Barry has lost another well-known and highly respected citizen by the death of Charles P. Lippincott last Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock. He had been in poor health for about three years, and during the past five weeks it was generally believed that the end was near. Deceased was born in Barry on September 25, 1839, and was 75 years and 10 months old at the time of his death. He was the son of William and Delina Lippincott. He was married to Miss Chloe Florence Bill, in Pittsfield on December 20, 1865. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and was the oldest member of the order in this city. His father was one of the charter members of the local lodge. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the M.E. church, by Rev. W.M. Hailey and Rev. E.B. Quick, and the Masons in charge. The remains were laid to rest in Park Lawn Cemetery.
