He was a member of St. Paul's M.E. Church for many years and of the Jr. O.U.A.M. and Red Men.
He was a native of Virginia, but had lived here for years. His parents were natives of Germany.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Harry Murdock, Waynesboro; Mrs. Elmer Martz, Mrs. Guy Shrader, Frank Greenawalt, this city; Miss Daisy, at home; Mrs. Louis Stoll and Mrs. John Shaffelford, Berryville; Mrs. Anna Gardner, Philadelphia; brothers, Frank Greenawalt, Middletown, Va.; Albert Greenawalt, Front Royal, Va.
Funeral Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's M.E. Church; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery; pallbearers will be from the two orders of which Mr. Greenawalt was a member.
