Ralph (James) Biggs, was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Guthrie, to Ralph and Lucille Biggs. He died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Tahlequah City Hospital in Tahlequah; after a long illness.
James was a former member of the Rotary Club in Guthrie and the Lions Club of Tahlequah. He was a former employee of OTASCO and Lintz Department in Guthrie, and he retired from Tahlequah Lumber Company due to health reasons.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is surived by his wife Shirley, of the home; one son Jimmy and wife Susan of Guthrie; one daughter, Elaine DeMoss and husband Rick of Guthrie; one stepson, Mark Ward of Checotah, and stepmother Zella of Guthrie.
He is also survived by one sister, Mary Williams and husband Jack of Perry; three brothers, Harold and wife Alverna of Guthrie, Lawrence and wife Sharron of Guthrie, and Jerry and wife Judy of Arlington, Texas; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services for James 76, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2005, at First Southern Baptist Church of Guthrie, with Brother David Nolen officiating. Burial was in Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie
