Born in Westville, PA on March 3, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Mae Hynds Emanuelson.
Joline was married to John Milton Alburg and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1982.
Retired, she and her husband ran Alburgs Grocery in Sugar Hill for 33 years. In her younger years she also worked at Sylvania and at Moody’s Variety Store.
Joline was a member of the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed and stayed active in any and all church activities.
Another of her favorite things to do was take trips to, and spend time at her grandsons store, Bill’s Place.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Kathy (Paul) Fremer of Brockway; Connie (Richard) McElhinny of Brookville; 1 son: John Alburg also of Brockway; a sister Janet Cribbs of New York and a brother Ron (Eloise) Emanuelson of DuBois. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Bill Fremer, Rebecca Fremer, Michael Fremer, Andrew Fremer, Arizona April Bunce and 3 great grandchildren: Emma Joline Bunce, Carson Bunce and Blakely Fremer.
In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Harold Leroy Emanuelson and a sister Betty Wolfe.
Calling hours will be on Friday, September 9 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM also at the church with Pastors Dave and Emily Koehler officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church.
