She was born June 27, 1928 to the late John Lacy and Hattie Callender and was a lifelong resident of Clifton Forge.
She was preceded by her siblings.
She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Clifton Forge and served on the Senior Usher Board, the Missionary Board, the Senior Choir, the Hospitality Committee, as well as an assistant Sunday school teacher and also served our community as an assistant to the manager of the neighborhood park, now known as Washington Park.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with the Reverend Roslyn Thomas presiding.
The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
