Dorcas Osgood Marble, was the daughter of Isaac Marble and Dorcas Osgood. After her father's death, her mother married General Henry Dearborn, and Dorcas is often cited as the adopted daughter of Henry Dearborn, but never officially adopted by him.,.

Her marriage intentions to Dr. James Parker are in the Pittston, Maine Vital Records 27 January 1798.

A family history at the Gardiner Public Library Archives written by Dorcas's niece and name sake, Dorcas Parker Gay stated that Dr. James and Dorcas had no children. Yet Marriage recorded in the local newspaper gave Mary Ann Parker, daughter of Dr. Parker marrying Ezra G. Weld.

Gardiner Vital Records cited the date of her death coming from her gravestone at Oak Grove Cemetery.
