James Cullison and Matilda Miller served as missionaries to the Indians in Michigan, before coming to Center Township Greene Co Indiana in 1854. They were devoted workers in the Methodist Church. As there was not church close, they deeded to the Methodist Episcopal Church a parcel of land Jan. 27, 1854, on which to build a church.
