He married Mary Lea Cranfill on March 26, 1960. Mr. Deatherage was a member of the Mountain Home First Assembly of God Church. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed watching Nascar and gazing at the deer on his land.
He is survived by a daughter, 3 grandchildren:Dewey and a sister, numerous nieces and nephews, family & friends and a close friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mary Lea Deatherage on Oct. 10. 1999, 2 brothers: Harold Deatherage and Hermas Deatherage and a sister Shirley Morgan,
Visitation will be from 12-9 PM Thursday Sept. 8 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM.
A funeral service conducted by Pastor Micah Wells and Brother Tim Bryant will be held 2:00 PM Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Whiteville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
