STORE CHIEF, 54, DIES IN HOSPITAL
Charles Henry Baldwin, III, 54, 1359 Wilson Ave. (1750 South), vice-president of The Paris, Salt Lake City, died Friday afternoon in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart attack.
Mr. Baldwin started his career at The Paris in 1936 as a salesman in the display department. He became a buyer of toys and boys and men's wear in the 1940's and was appointed merchanidise manager in 1955. He rose to vice president in 1960.
CHAMBER MEMBER
He was a member of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Retail and Utah Merchants associations. He was an active member of F&AM, Mt. Moriah Lodge, El Kalah Patrol, El Kalah Temple and the Masonic committee for the Shriners' Hospital for crippled children.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of the Fort Douglas Country Club. He was a start football player at West High School and attended the University of Utah.
Mr. Baldwin was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Salt Lake City, to Charles and Irene Phillips Baldwin. He married Beatrice Barnett May 8, 1943, in Salt Lake City.
SURVIVORS LISTED
His survivors include his wife, two daughters, Denise and Irene, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Couch and Mrs. Mervin (Virginia) Emery, all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
