Cloyd Lee Walters never went by "Lee" but by "Leo", to the point that it was sometime made his legal middle name, and the name he always went by, other than the fun nickname of "Squeaky" that most family and old friends used.

Cloyd Lee "Squeaky" Walters, 83, of Decatur died 2:55 a.m. Monday (Dec. 19, 1988) in Fair Havens Christian Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery.

Mr. Walters was born in Niantic, son of Raymond and Cora Walters. He was a retired railroad carman-helper, member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Modern Woodmen of America and Great Light Masonic Lodge 1064 AF&AM. He married Flossie Carter in 1927. She died in 1986.

Surviving are his son, Stanley L. of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Homer (Marjorie) Hess of Decatur; brother, Russell of Decatur; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren. One son, one sister and one grandson preceded him in death.
