He was employed at various car agencies in the local area over the years as a car detailer, having been given the name "Dr. John" for his exceptional work. He most recently worked for the past eight years at Tee's Golf Center in Conshohocken as a groundskeeper.
Jack served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a disabled veteran and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Norristown Chapter #25 and the VFW Post #1074 of Conshohocken
Jack enjoyed life, riding his motorcycle, spending time in Sebring, Fla., and loved the beach. He also enjoyed playing musical instruments including the guitar, harmonica, keyboard, and drums. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his brother, Anthony "Nino" Monastero and wife Sara of Conshohocken; his sister, Rosemary Mahoney of Conshohocken; his close friend Vivian Brennan of Plymouth Meeting; many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and nephews, and cousins; and a multitude of friends from the West Coast to the East Coast, and everywhere in between.
He loved everyone he met, and everyone loved him. His presence on how he lit up a room will be sadly missed by all.
