BENHAM, VERNA BLANCH, 96, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Medco Center in Brandenburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Benham and her daughter, Priscilla Jean Lakey. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Woolfolk and Paula Ruth Harrop both of Brandenburg; one sister, Marie King of Middletown, KY; and two brothers Elvie Ray Stewart of the Rock Haven Community and Ellis Stewart of Valley Station, KY; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from Bethel United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bruington- Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg.
